Staff Bergman noted tha# additional input was solicited from more Shoreline Drive
residents, and received a total of 38 calls and emails; 29 of those supported rerouting
the bus onto Shoreline Drive, and 9 were against.
Summarizing all of the input received to da#e, Sfaff Bergman noted that the followin
g
comments had been received:
1.65 people opposed stops at Otis Drive and Willow Street;
2.4o people supported the Shoreline Drive the route;
3.1o people were opposed to the Shoreline route;
4.11 people were opposed to the proposed stops at Otis and Sandcreek;
5.8 people were opposed to the stops at Pond Isle;
fi.1 person supported the proposed stops at Otis and Sandcreek;
7.1 person opposed all stops in the Otis corridor;
8.4 people indicated they wanted one stop somewhere along the Ctis corridor;
9.2 people supported the Otis and Pond Isle stops;
10.1 person indicated they wanted to maintain the stops within Alameda Towne Centre;
11.2 people wanted to maintain stops at the Ferry Terminal; and
12.1 person opposed the removal of stops at Alameda Point on Monarch Street.

Commissioner Krueger noted that the Line 63 Subcommittee reviewed the o tions that

had been discussed in the previous meeting, and confirmed some of the choices that
had been made. The City stafflAC Transit staff report had been received, respondin to

the Subcommittee s questions. They were able to narrow their recommendations in
preparation for bringing it back to the Transportation Commission in october.
In response to an inquiry by Chair Knox White regarding the release of the report, Staff
Bergman replied that the Subcommittee was expected to meet with affected residents
prior to the Transportation Commission meeting, and that would be incorporated into the
staff report.

There are no buses that turn righ# on central and Webster going toward 1370 3rdStreet
Alameda, Ca 94501 where,
I live in Apartment Homes Village.
All buses go down central and Webster and turn left going to south shore mall
My question is why the 63 bus can't or any bus turn right on central there are house's --
~apartment, business's in that area, there are bus stop all along the why down 3rd street the
end of where I live. The 63 bus runs out central toward al & Ballena Boulevard durin

morning hours only for the school kids, The People rn our community would like for
the 63 bus to go though central for the working people coming home from work
during the late evening time.
The fi3 bus takes up to an hour ar two... just standing at the bus stop waiting for the fi3 bus
to come
I check the other bus lines the 63 is the only line that run every half hourwhen it reall

doesn't take a half hour...~t's a much langerwait.
The 51 buses run just about every ten min during S:OOp.m. peek
I am still standing there waiting on the 63 bus at 5;00 when I get off the 51 bus to transfer at
Lincoln Ave to the 63 bus watching more then ten or more bus go dawn
Webster & central, I'm still there some times when the same bus driver dose his tom lets

I get off work at 4;45 in San Francisco take Bart train Downtown Oakland take the 51 bus to
Alameda arrive thereat 5;15 waiting for the 5;25 bus
That is never on time...the 5;55p,m, bus never tames and I always end up catchin the
