AUTHORIZING LEASE TO LOOP
LUMBER & MILL COMPANY A
CORPERATION, OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREPAS, Loop Lumber & Mill
Company, a. corporation, hereinafter
called Lessee, has applied to the
City of Alameda for a lease of those
certain premises situated in the
City of Alameda, hereinafter par-
ticularly described, for a term of
twenty-five (25) years, commencing
November 1, 1948, and ending Octo-
ber 31, 1.973; and
WHI:�!REAS, a form of lease to
be executed by the City and said
Lessee and containing the covenants
and agreements stipulated and
agreed upon between the parties
has been submitted to the City Coun-
cil and filed with the City Clerk
at the regular meeting of the City
Council held on September 7, 1948;
NOW TIT[PREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINTED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1. That the real property
situated in the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State of Cali-
fornia, and particularly described
as follows, to-wit:
BE TINNING at the northeast
corner of the intersection of
Blianding Avenue with Broad-
way as shown on "Map of Blocks
A, B, C, D, E and F of the
Hays and Caperton Tract, Ala-
meda," surveyed in November
1885 by W. F. Boardman and
filed November 6, 1885 and of
record in 'Map Book 4, Page 26,
in th? office of the County Re-
corder of Alameda County;
thence running northeasterly
along the easterly line of Broad-
way 294.53 feet; thence continu-
ing along the said line produced
northeasterly 30.1 feet to the
center line of Harrison Avenue
abandoned; thence southwest-
erly along the center line of the
above mentioned Harrison Ave-
nue 80,24 feet to a point in the
westerly line of Broadway pro-
duced northeasterly; t h e n c e
southwesterly along the west
line of Broadway produced as
above 30.1 feet to the southwest
corner of Broadway and Harri-
son Avenue abandoned; thence
continuing southwesterly 288.23
feet along the westerly line ()f
Broadway to the northwest cor-
ner of the intersection of Broad-
way and Blanding Avenue;
thence southeasterly along the
northerly line of D1,,t.nding Ave-
nue 80 feet to the northeast
corner of the intersection of

Company, a corporation, for a term
Of twenty -five (26) years,, begin-
ning on November I, 1948, o,nd
ending October 31, 1973, at the
total rent of $5 509.50, payable
$220.38 annually on the Ist day of
November of each year commencing
November 1, 1948.
Section 2. That the lease of said
premises shall be in the form and
contain the covenant, stipulations
and agreements set forth in the
draft o lease submitted to the City
Council, and filed with the City
Clerk, at the regular meeting of
said Council held on September 7,
1948.
Section 3, The Mayor of the City
of Alameda is hereby authorized
and directed to execute the afore-
aid lease for and on behalf of said
City, and the City Clerk is directed
to attest the same as soon as this
ordinance shall become effective.
Section 4. This ordinance. shall be
in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of thirty (80)
days from the date of its final pas-
sage.

of Almueda, in adjourned regular

of September, 1949, by the follow-
