AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE
BY ADDING TO ARTICLE 1,
CHAPTER 4, TITLE XIV THERE-
OF A NEW SECTION TO BE
KNOWN AS SECTION I4 -4115,
REGULATING OPERA'T'ION OF
GASOLINE, BENZINE AND
INFLAMMABLE LIQUID DISPENSING
DEVICES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALA -
MEDA:
Section 1, The Alameda Municipal
Code is hereby amended by adding
to Article 1, Chapter 4, Title XIV
thereof a new section to be known
as Section 14 -4115, which shall read
as follows:
Section 14- 4115. Regulating Oper-
ation of Gas o line, Benzine and In-
flainniable Liquid Dispensing De-
vices. Gasoline, benzine and other
inflammable liquids, articles and
products mentioned in Section 1.4 -411
of this article, shall be delivered
from pumps or other dispensing
devices only by the operators of
such pumps or other devices, their
employees or authorized representa-
tives, and when unattended, all
pumps, vending devices and other
facilities for the delivery of gaso-
line,- benzine and other inflammable
liquids, articles and products men -
tioned in Section 14 -411 of this
article, shall be securely locked or
other effective provisions made to
prevent public access to supplies of
such gasoline, benzine and other in-

flammable. liquids, articles aid prod-
ucts hereinabove referred to.
It is. the intent and.purpose,of
this section that no person shall
operate any pump, vending device,
or other facility for the delivery; of
gasoline benzine and other ;inflam-
mable liquids, articles and. products
hereinabove referred to; either man-
ually or by the insertion of a coin
in such pump, vending device ' or
other facility, except the person in
charge thereof, as above set :forth.
Section 2. This ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from
and after the expiration of thirty
(30) days from the date of lt4 final
passage.
