AN ORDINANCE VACATING .A CER-
TAIN ;POLE LINE EASEMENT : AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO ROGER
LEIDY AND DOROTHY V. LEIDY.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda
heretofore acquired an easement for
the purpose of constructing and main-
taining a pole line for transmitting
electricity. in the parcel of land here-
inafter . particularly described; and
WHEREAS; it is no longer necessary
for the City of Alameda to retain the
easement in said land hereinafter: de-
scribed and it appears. to : the Council
of the City of Alameda that said'ease-
ment is not now and will not in the
future be required by said City for
pole line , purposes or for any other
purposes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN-
ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1, That the easement for pole
line purposes in, over and upon that
certain land situate in the City of Ala-
meda, County of Alameda, State of
California, and particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest
corner of Lot 30, in Section 24;
Township .2 South, Range 4 West;
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian
as said lot is delineated and so
designated upon that certain map
entitled "Sale Map No. 10, of Salt
Marsh and Tide I.;ands situate in
the County of AIameda, State of
California" and filed June 9, 1888,
in the office of the County Re—
corder of Alameda County,. and
running thence South 828.62 feet to
a point; thence S. 82" E: 259.50 feet
to a point; thence N. 89 E. 200.57
feet to a point, this point; to be
known as the. point of beginning;

thence N. 5' 40' 17" E_276.69 feet
to a point; thence N. 49° 45' 01" W.
171.77 feet to a .point; thence S. 89
10' E. 16.46 feet to a point; thence
S, .' 49 45' 01" E. 163.95 feet to a
point; thence S. 5 40' 17" E. 280.79
feet to a point; thence S. 89 W.
10.86 feet to the point of beginning,
be, and the sane is hereby, abandoned
and vacated.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be; and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to execute,
and the City : Clerk to attest, as the
act and deed of the .City of Alameda,
a quitclaim deed remising, releasing
and quitclaiming to Roger Leidy and
Dorothy V. Leidy all: of said City's
right, title and interest in and to the
easement described in Section I hereof.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after
the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage..
