AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING RE-
CONVEYANCE OF RESERVE STRIP
IN TRACT 1085.
WHEREAS, under. the .terms of that
certain. agreement made and entered
into by and 'between the City of Ala-
meda, a municipal corporation, and
Central Avenue Land Development. Co.,
a limited partnership, on the 4th day
of August, 1952, there was conveyed
to the .City of Alameda, as a reserve
strip, the hereinafter described real
property, with the understanding and
agreement on the .part of the City of
Alameda that upon the development
of the property contiguous to said
reserve strip, the City of Alameda will
reconvey .said reserve strip to said
Central Avenue Land Development Co.;
and
. WHEREAS, said Central Avenue
Land Development Co. has now under-
taken development of the property
contiguous to said reserve strip, said
reserve strip , now being a. part . of
Tract 1249; and the City, under the
terms of the aforementioned agree-
ment, : is obligated to make the re-
conveyance agreed.upon;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN-
ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA
Section 1. That all that certain real
property situate in the City of Ala-
meda, County of Alameda, State of
California, described as follows:
Being a one -foot wide strip or parcel
of land described as follows:
COMMENCING at United States Coast
and Geodetic Survey Monument
"Fern Cent whose coordinates are
y = 461,927.24 feet and x : 1,500,603.24
feet . as published by the United
States Coast and. Geodetic Survey in
Triangulation Description Book No.
943 -a certified copy .of .which is filed
in the City Clerk's . office, Alameda,
California; said coordinates are based
on the California Coordinate System,
Zone 3, as are all coordinates, bear -
ings and distances in this descrip-
tion;
THENCE north 82° 51' 04 east 8.92
feet to a point 'whose coordinates
are y -- 461;928.35 feet and x = 1;500, -
612.09 feet, said point being the point
of beginning of the property de-
scribed in deed to Jennie M. and
Geraldine. M. Van . Orman, recorded
in Book 5040 at Page .232 in the
Alameda County Recorder's office;
THENCE along the line cif Central
Avenue; 60.00: feet wide, .south 47'
42' 54" east-162.22 feet;
THENCE south 47 25' 22" east 319.00
feet' to the True Point of Beginning;
THENCE continuing south 47 25' 22"
east 1.00 feet;
THENCE south 42° 22' 49" west 60.00
feet to a point having the coordinates
y -- 461,558.36 feet and x = 1,500,927.30
feet;
THENCE north 47' 25' 22" west 1.00
feet;
THENCE north 42 22' 49" east 60.00
feet to the True Point of Beginning,
be conveyed by the City . of Alameda
to Central Avenue Land Development
Co.; a limited partnership.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed, on behalf of,
the City of Alameda, to execute a
quitclaim deed transferring the City's
interest in said property to Central
Avenue Land Development Co., a
limited . partnership.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after
the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.
