AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN CITY
OWNED PROPERTY TO M. E. LEE
WHEREAS, M. E. Lee is the owner of
a 50' x 110' lot situated on Maitland
Drive, northwesterly from Fitchburg
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is
the owner of a small triangular parcel
of land. of nominal value, containing
approximately 70 square feet, which
encroaches into the easterly line of
the aforesaid property of M. E. Lee,
and because of such encroachment,
M. F. Lee cannot convey a clear title
to his said property; and
WHEREAS, M. E. Lee has requested
that the City of Alameda quitclaim to
him the small parcel encroaching into
his land, so that he may sell his said
lot, and improvements be constructed
thereon; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid M. E. Lee
has agreed to pay to the City of Ala-
meda the sum of $35 for such quitclaim
deed, being the fair market value of
said real property; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by this
Council that such action will result in
financial benefit to the City by hav-
ing an improved lot placed upon the
tax rolls of the City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1. That the real property
situate in the City of Alameda, County
of Alameda, State of California. and
particularly described as follows,
BEGINNING at Tide Land Sur-
vey Stake No. 6, as listed on Table
IT, Meanders of Salt Marshes as
shown on the "Map No. 2 of Salt
Marsh and Tide Lands, situate in
the County of Alameda, State of
California, 1871," prepared by order
of the Board of Tide Land Commis-
sioners and on file in the office of
said Commissions in San Francisco,
certified copies thereof having been
filed with the Surveyor General of
the State and with the County Re-
corder of the City and County of
San Francisco; running thence
south 54 04 25" east to the most
southern corner of the land de-
scribed in the deed by M B. & A. L.
Stone Company, et. al., to F. S.
Hambly, dated October 20, 1927; re-
corded November 26, 1927, in Book
1758 O. R., page 152, Alameda
County Records; thence south 56-
40' 30" west to the western line of
said Lot 14; thence along the last
named line north 7' 36' 45" west
13.84 feet to the point of beginning,
be conveyed to M. E. Lee,
Section 2. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City, a quitclaim deed
transferring the City's interest in said
property to M. E. Lee, upon receipt
of the consideration set out herein-
before.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after
the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.

1, the undersigned, hereby certify

the Council of the City of Alameda in
adjourned regular meeting assembled
