AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY -
OWNED REAL PROPERTY TO
THE ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT (THOMPSON FIELD)
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is
the owner of certain real property
situate in the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State of Califor-
nia as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS; the aforesaid real prop-
erty is no longer required by the
City of Alameda for municipal pur-
poses, and public convenience and
necessity require the disposal of said
real property; and
WHEREAS; , the Alameda Unified
School District has offered to pur-
chase said real property for the
amount of SIXTY THOUSAND
($60,000.00) DOLLARS;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1. That the City of Alameda
transfer unto the Alameda Unified
School District all that certain real
property situate in the City of Ala-
meda,; County of Alameda; State of
California, and more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
BEGINNING' at the intersection
of the northwestern line of Walnut
Street, with the southwestern line
of Clement Avenue, running thence
along said line of Clement Avenue,
northwesterly 225 feet; thence par-
allel with said line of Walnut Street.
southwesterly' 300 feet ;: thence at
right- angles northwesterly 10 feet;
thence at right angles southwesterly
134.5 feet; thence parallel with said
dine of Clement Avenue southeast -
erly 235 feet to said northwestern
line of Walnut Street; thence along

the last named line northeasterly
434.5 feet to the point of beginning,:.
for and in consideration of the sum
of 'SIXTY THOUSAND ($60;000.00)
DOLLARS, to be paid in cash to the
City of Alameda by the Alameda Uni
fied School District coincident with
the tender of a grant deed conveying
said real property. All escrow charges
and title insurance 'costs are to; be
paid by the grantee.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda is hereby authorized
and directed to execute, for and on
behalf of the City of Alameda; a
grant deed transferring the aforesaid
real property to the Alameda Unified
School District, and the City Clerk
is directed to attest the same
Section 3. This ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of thirty; (30)
days from the date of its final pas-
sage.
