AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE RE-
LATING TO THE INSTALLA'T'ION
AND REMOVAL OF "STOP" AND
"YIELD RIGHT -OF -WAY" SIGNS
ON THE STREETS OF THE CITY
,OF ALAMEDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN-
CIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1 That subdivision (2) of
Section 17 7461 of the Alameda Munic-
ipal Code is - hereby repealed.
Section 2. That subdivision (6) of
Section 17-432 of the Alameda Munic-
ipal Code is hereby repealed.'
Section 3. That subdivision (29) of
Section 17 -432 of the Alameda Munic-
ipal Code is hereby repealed.
Section 4. That Section 17 -432 of
the Alameda Municipal Code is here -
by- amended; by adding thereto the
following new subdivisions, which
shall read as follows:
(118) Clement Avenue and Broad-
way, a sign shall be erected on
Clement Avenue at or near the
southwesterly corner of its inter-
section with Broadway.
(119) Washington Street and
Broadway,; a sign shall be 'erected
on Washington - Street at or near
the 'northeasterly corner of its in-
tersection- with Broadway.
(120) Calhoun rStreet and Broad -
way, signs shall be erected on Cal-
houn'Street at or near the north-
easterly and southwesterly corners
of its intersection with Broadway.
Section 5. That Section 17 «431 of
the Alameda Municipal Code is here -
by, amended by amending 'subdivi-
sions ; (2), (4), (6) and (14)' thereof,
to read as follows:
(2) Central Avenue, from the
southerly; line of Pacific` Avenue to
the westerly line of <Fernside Bou-
levard, excluding however, its in-
tersections with Webster Street,
"Sherman Street, Park Street,

Broadway, and High Street.
(4) Fernside Boulevard, from the
southwesterly line of Encinal Ave-
nue to the westerly line - of Pearl
Street, excluding however, its in-
tersection with High Street.
(6) Lincoln Avenue, from the
westerly line of Third Street to the
westerly; line of Gibbons Drive, ex-
cluding however, its intersections
with Fifth Street, Webster; Street,
Park Street, Broadway ; and Ver-
sailles Avenue.
(14) Buena Vista. Avenue, from
the easterly line of Park Street to
the westerly line of Versailles Ave-
nue, excluding however, its inter-
sections with Tilden Way and
Broadway.
Section 6. This ordinance 'shall be
in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of 'thirty (39)
days from the date of its final
passage.
