AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY
ADDING SECTION 17-435 TO ARTI-
CLE 3 OF CHAPTER 4, TITLE XVII,
RELATING To STOP SIGNS AT
INTERSECTIONS CONTROLLED
BY OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL
SIGNALS
BE IT ORDATNED BY THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALA-
MEDA:
Section. 1. Article 3, Chapter 4,
of Title XV11;of the Alameda M,u-
nicipal Code is hereby amended by
adding thereto Section 17-435, which
shall read as follows:
Sec. 17-435. Stop Signs at Sig-
nal - Controlled Intersections.
Notwithstanding any other pro-
vision of this Code, stop signs
shall not be erected at any
entrance to an intersection
when such entrance is controlled
by an official traffic control
signal. Stop signs erected prior
to the effective date of this
provision and which are in place
removea prior to January 1,
Section 2. This -ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of thirty (30)
dayfs tram the date of its final
passage.
