ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN
FOrt CITY OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREAS, pursuant to written
contract therefor the firm of
Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Men-
denhall has prepared a compre-
hensive, long-term general plan
for the physical development of
the City, consisting of text, dia-
grams, maps and other materials
and entitled, "Comprehensive
General Plan-1990 for Alameda,
California," all in accordance
with Sections 65300 and follow-
ing, Government Code of Cali-
fornia; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board
duly heard and considered and,
on February 3, 1969, by its Reso-
lution No. 639, approved said
Plan and transmitted same to the
City Council recommending its
adoption by the City; and
WHEREAS, on March 18, 1969,
after notice duly given, the City
Council considered said Plan,
conducted a public hearing there-
on, and thereafter determined it
should be adopted as the General
Plan for the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1. The document here-
inabove in the recitals referred
to is hereby adopted, without
change or addition, as the com-
prehensive, long-range General
Plan for the physical develop-
ment of the City of Alameda.
Section 2. One certified copy of
said Plan shall be placed on file
in the Office of the City Clerk,
and three such copies in the Of-
fice of the Planning Director, all
of said copies to be public rec-
ords of the City. In addition to
such certification, a copy of this
ordinance shall be attached to
each of said copies, which attach-
ment shall be deemed to indi-
cate the endorsement and adop-
tion of said Plan by the City
Council.
Section 3. The procedure for
altering, changing, adding to,
amending and administering the
said Plan shall he as provided
for by the general law, which
procedure shall also be applicable
to the adoption and administra-
tion of specific plans and regu-
lations.
Section 4. Wherever in any or-
dinance, rule or regulation of the
City the terms "master plan,"
"Outline Master Plan," or "gen-
eral plan" is mentioned, the ref-
erence shall be deemed to mean
the General Plan hereby adopted.
Section 5. This ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from
and after the expiration of thirty
(30) days from the date of its
final passage.
