AUTHORIZING SALE OF CERTAIN
CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY TO
BANK OF AMERICA NT & SA I24I4

WHEREAS, the City of Ala-
meda is the owner of the
hereinafter described real
property, 1Nhieh is no longer
required for m un icipal pur-
poses. and it is in the best pub-.
lie interest to dispose of same:

WHEREAS, Bank of
America National Trirst and
Savings Association, a national.
banking institution, has offered
to purchase said real property
fro the sum of 625,200.00,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
ORDAIN •ED BY THE COUN-
CR, OF THE CITY OF ALA-
M EDA:
Section 1. That the City of
Alameda convey, by quitclaim
deed, unto Bank of America
National Tritst and Savings
Association, a national banking
institution, all that certain real
property situated in the City
of Alameda, County of Alame-
da, State of California, more
particularly described as fol-
lows:
BEGINNING at a point, on the
southwesterly line of Webb
Avenue, said point being dis-
tant northwesterly along said
line 347 feet, 11 ½ inches from
the point of intersection
thereof with the northwester-
ly line of Everett Street as
said avenue, street and lines
are shown on the map of
"Alameda Station Home-
stead Tract". filed March I.-1,
1868, in the Office of the
County Recorder of Alameda
County in Book. 17 of Maps,
page b();
THENCE, at right angles to
said Webb Avenue south-
westerly 100 l'et--!t:
THENCE at right angles
northwesterly 60 feet:
THENCE at right angles
northeasterly 100 feet. to said
southwesterly line of Webb
Avenue;
THENCE southeasterly along
the last said line 60 feet to
the BEGINNING.
Said parcel being all of Lot
4, Block A and the southeast-
erly 10 feet of Lot 3, Block
A as said lots, and block are
shown on aforesaid map,
for and in consideration of the
sum of Twenty-Five Thousand,
Two Hundred Dollars (52.,-
200,00) to be paid in cash to
the City of Alameda by said
banking institution t:oincident
with the tender of a quitclaim
deed conveying said property.
Escrow, title insurance and
other charges. if any, shall he
paid by said purchaser.
Section 2. That the Mayor of
the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest to, a quit-
claim deed conveying the here-
inabove described property to
said Bank of America National
Trust and Sav:i rigs Association.
Section 3. This ordinance
shali be in full force and effect
from and after the expiration
of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.
