AUTHORIZING SALE OF CERTAIN CITY -OWNED REAL PROPERTY TO SUTTER HILL; LTD.
100' X 25' PARCEL ADJOINING
WESTERLY SIDE OF PEARL
STREET NORTHERLY)
WHEREAS, the City is the
owner of the hereinbelow de-
scribed real property which is
not required for municinal pur-
poses and which adjoins a
urger parcel owned by the
prospective grantee herein;
and
WHEREAS, Sutter Hill, Ltd.,
a California corporation has
offered to pay to the City the
sum of Ten Thousand Dollars
(510,000.00) for a conveyance
by quitclaim deed thereof, and
it is in the best public interest
that such sale be con-
summated,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
ORDAINED BY THE COUN-
CIE OF THE CITY OF ALA -
MEDA that:
Section 1. That the City of
Alameda convey by quitclaim
deed to Sutter Hill, Ltd., a
California corporation, all that
real property situate in the
City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California,
described as:
That certain pparcel of land
described in the deed from
Powell Brothers Construction
Company, a corporation, to
the City of Alameda; a muni.
cipal corporation, dated De-
cember 6, 1917, recorded De-
cember 11, 1917, under Re-
corder's Series No. R -42225
in Book 2 634 of Deeds, Page
46, in the office of the AIa-
m e d a County Recorder,
more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the
western line of Pearl Street,
distant thereon northerly
80.00 feet from the intersec-
tion thereof with the northern
line of the right -of -way of the
Southern Pacific Com-
pany;
THENCE northerly along said
line of Pearl Street 100.00
feet;
THENCE at right angles
westerly 25.00 feet;
THENCE at right angles east-
erly 25.00 feet to the point
of beginning.
