Ordinance 1707Ordinance No. 1707 Authorizing sale of city owned real property to housing authority (northeast corner park street and otis drive) AUTHORIZING SALE OF CITY- OWNED REAL PROPERTY TO HOUSING AUTHORITY (NORTHEAST CORNER PARK STREET AND OTIS DRIVE) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1. The City of Alameda sell, and convey by quitclaim deed, unto the Housing Authority at the City of Alameda, a Public body, corporate and Politic, all that certain real property sit- uate generally on the northeast corner of Park Street and Otis Drive and con- sisting of 0.90 acres more or less, in the City of Alameda, county of Alameda, State of California, more Particularly described as: A Portion of Lots C and D of Block 27, of Block 28, and of Block 29, as said lots and blocks are shown on the map "Alameda Park Homestead" filed May 30, 1874, and recorded in Book 17 Of Maps at Page 32, Official Records of Alameda County, and more par- ticularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said Lot C, Block 27; THENCE South34'40'36" Westalong the east boundary of said Lots C and D of B locks 27, 28 and 29, 271,65 feet; THENCE North 49' 14' 36'' West 132.26 feet; THENCE along the arc of a tangent curve to the right, concave to the east, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 84 01' 17" an arc distance of29.33 feet to a point on the east line of Park Street as it now exists; THENCE tangent to said curve, North 34' 46' 41" East along said east line of Park Street 237.98 feet to the north boundary of said Lot C, Block 27; THENCE South 55' 13' 19" Eastalong said north boundary 148.98 feet to the BEGI NN ING. Reserving therefrom unto the City of Alameda, Grantor, however, a Public service easement for sanitary sewers, described m: Aportion of Lots Cand DofBlock 29, as said lots and block are shown on the man "Alameda Park Home- stead" filed May 30,1874, and record- ed in Book 17 of Maps at Page 32, Of- ficial Records of Alameda County, and more particularly described as follows: B E G I N N I N G at a Point on the east boundary of said Lot D, Block 29, distant 19.82 feet, South 34 40' 36" West from the northeast corner of said Lot D; TH E NCE South 34'40'36" Westalong said east boundary of Lot D, 1.83 feet; THENCE North 49' 14'36" West46.88 feet; THENCE North 39' 06' 31" West 107.01 feet to the east line of Park Street as 1t now exists; THENCE North34 Eastalong said east line of Park Street 10.41 feet; THENCE South 39'06'31 " East 155.57 feet to the BEGI NN I NG. Section 2. Said described real Property be sold and conveyed unto grantee by quitclaim deed, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) tobepaid bygrantee in cash tofhe City ofAlameda coincident with the tender to grantee of a quitclaim deed conveying said oropertv. Section 3. The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, Grantee, shall use said real property solely for the pur- poses of constructing, maintaining and operating thereon a senior citizens residential housing facility, and shall make written representation; to City that itshall retain tifletherefo in its own name for said purposes. Said grantee shall make further written assurance to City it shall offer to reconvey said Property to City, for the consideration stated in Section 2, Plus development costs, in the event said Property is not devoted to such use. Section 4. The Mayor of the City of Alamr.da is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk directed to attest to, on behalf of the City, a quitclaim deed conveying the hereinabove described real Property to said Housing Authority of the City of Alameda. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final Passage, C. J.
