AMENDING THE ALAMEDA
MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 2-541 THEREOF, RELATING TO VACATION LEAVE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OFALAMEDA:
Section 1. That Section 2-541 of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2-541. Officials and
Employees Entitled to Annual
Vocations. All Officials and
employees in the continuous and
regular employment of the City,
except sworn members of the
Fire Department, whose com-
pensation is fixed on a monthly
basis, and who shall have been in
the service of the City for not less
than one (1) year, and all
employees employed on a Per
them basis who have been
employed by the City for at least
225 days during the twelve-month
Period immediately preceding
the commencement of the vaca-
tion shall be allowed:
(a) In each calendar year, a
vacation with Pay of ten (10)
regularly scheduled working
days, computed on the basis of a
five-day work week.
(b) After five (5) years of ser-
vice with the City, computed as
in this section provided, said of-
ficials and employees shall be
allowed annual lya vacation with
pay of fifteen (15) regularly
scheduled working days, com-
puted on the basis of a five -day
work week. Said officials and
employees shall be allowed an
additional one-half ( day of
Paid vacation leave annually
beginning with the sixth Year of
service with the City and ter-
minating upon the completion of
the fifteenth Year of service with
the City.
(c) After fifteen (15) years of
service with the City, computed
as in this section Provided, said
officials and employees shall be
allowed annually a vacation with
Pay of twenty (20) regularly
scheduled working days, com-
puted on the basis of a five-day
work week.
(d) After the completion of
twenty (20) Years of service with
the City, computed as in this
section, Provided, said officials
and employees shall be allowed
one (1) additional day of paid
vacation leave annually and ter-
minating upon the completion of
the twenty-fifth year of service
with the City.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect on January 1, 1975.
