Ordinance 1766ORDINANCE 1766 AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section I. Section 17 -432 (Stop Inter- sections) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (210) thereto, to read as follows: (210) Fir Avenue, Oleander and Holly Street, signs should be erected on Holly Street at or near the northwesterly and southeasterly corners of its intersection with Fir Avenue and Oleander respectively. Section 2. Section 17 -461 (Yield Right -of -Way) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (29) thereto, to read as fol lows: i, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of July, 1975, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5), NOES: None, ABSENT: None. Publish: July 4, 1975. (29) On Paru Street at the northwesterly and southeasterly corners of its intersection with Clin- ton Avenue, Section 3. This ordinance is one of great necessity and urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter, is introduced and passed at the some Council meeting and shall become effective on July 2, 1975. Section 4. The facts constituting the necessity and urgency hereof are: 1. That traffic regulations are es. sential for the orderly flow and con- trol of traffic within the City. 2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately effec- tive on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public welfare is obtained. 3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist if such amendments are not immediately effective. 4. That, in light of such potential health and safety problems in- valved, the normal delay between enactment of this ordinance and its effective date would be injurious. 5. This Council hereby finds, de- termines and declares that it is in the best interest and necessity that this ordinance be introduced and passed at the regular meeting of the City Council held July 1, 1975, and that this ordinance become and be in full force and effect July 2, 1975, C.J.
