AMENDING THE ALAMEDA
MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SUBSECTION to) OF SECTION 2 -5313
RELATING TO UNUSED SICK
LEAVE FLAY UPON RETIREMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCI LOF TH E C ITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1. Subsection (a) of Section
2 -5313 of the Alameda Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) t:acn employee, except those
referred to in subsection (e) hereof,
and each full -time salaried officer,
who has been continuously
employed by the City for more than
ten (10) years, shall upon termina-
tion of such employment for any
reason other than discharge
therefrom as a result of dis-
ciplinary action duly imposed by
the City, be entitled to receive an
amount of money equal to one and
two - tenths oeecent (1.2 %) of his
unused sick leave accumulated
pursuant to this Article, times his
number of years of employment,
times his daily salary rate: provid-
ed, however, that in no event shall
such amount exceed thirty percent
(30 %) of the total of such
employee's or officer's unused sick
leave accumulation.
Section 2. This subsection shall be
effective and implemented on and after
July 1, 1975.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after the
expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its finoI passage.
