AUTHORIZING PURCHASE FROM
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OF
FORMER "POST 'OFFICE - BUILDING
AND REAL PROPERTY, LOCATED
ON NORTH SIDE OF CENTRAL
AVENUE BETWEEN PARK STREET
AND PARK AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCI L OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section i. That the City of Alameda
acquire by purchase from the United
States of America, acting by and
through the Administrator of General
Services, for the sum of $165,000.00, all
that certain real property, situate, Iv-
ing, and being in the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State of California,
described as follows:
COMMENCING at the point of
intersection of the northeasterly
line of Central Avenue (as said
avenue now exists since being
widened to eigghtyy (80) feet) with
the northwesterly line of Park
Avenue (formerly Pine Street)
running then northerly along said
northwesterly line of Park
Avenue one hundred and forty
(140) feet, thence at right angles
westerly one hundred and forty
(140) feet, thence at right angles
southerly one hundred and fifty
four (154) and 45/100 feet to the
said northeasterly line of Central
Avenue and thence easterly along
said northeasterly line of Central
Avenue one hundred and forty
and 73/100 feet to the point of
beginning.
SU BJ ECT to rights of way, res-
trictions, reservations, and
easements now existing or of
record.
TOGETHER WITH all and sin -
gular,the tenements; heredi-
toments and appurtenances
thereunto belonging, or in
anywise appertaining, and the
reversion and reversions,
remainder and remainders,
rents, issues, and profits thereof,
and also all the estate, right, title,
interest,: Property Possession,
claim, and demand whatsoever,
said GRANTOR of,eIn to the
foregoing described premises,
and _every part and parcel
thereof, with the appurtenances.
Section 2. That evidence of tltie^
to be acquired hereby be by Quitclaim
Deed from the United States of
America, acting by and through the
Administrator of General Services, and
that said sum of $165,000.00 for said
acquisition, to be Paid to the United
States of America, be appropriated
from the Capital Outlay Fund (Account
225) to pay the purchase price of said
Property.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after the
expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify
that the foregoing Ordinance was duly
and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in a
regular meeting assembled on the 2nd
day of September, 1975, by the follow-

Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and
President Corica, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
