Ordinance 1774ORDINANCE 1774 Amending certain protions of the alameda municipal code relating to traffic regulations New Series AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OFALAMEDA that: Section 1. Section 17-344.1 (24-Minute Parking Limit) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (18) (a) thereto, to read as follows: (18) Encinal Avenue (Lafayette Street to Union Street), commencing at a point in the (a) North curb line of Encinal Avenue, 172 feet westerly from the west line of Lafayette Street and running thence westerly 20 feet. Section 2. Section 17-333 (All Time and Limited No Parking) of the Alameda Municipal Code Is hereby amended by adding subsections (72) and (73) thereto, to read as follows: (72) Clement Avenue, on the northerly side thereof, between Points which are respectively 49 feet and 141 feet westerly from the westerly line of Walnut Street extended, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m,, on Saturday only. (73) Bethlehem Avenue, on both sides thereof, between the easterly line of Webster Street and the westerly right- of-way line of the Southern Pacific Company. Section 2. This ordinance is one of great necessity and urgency within the meaning of Section 3-12 of the City Charter, is Introduced and Passed otthe same Council meeting and shall become effective on October 8,1975. Section 3. The facts constituting the necessity and urgency hereof are: 1. That traffic regulations are essen- tial for the orderly flow and control of traffic within the City. 2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately effective on Passage to insure that maximum preservation of public welfare Is ob- tained. 3. That a potential health and safety Problem will exist If such amendments are not immediately effective. 4. That, in light of such potential health and safety Problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this ordinance and Its effecitve date would be Injurious. 5. This Council hereby finds, deter- mines and declares that It Is in the best interest and necessity that this or- dinance be Introduced and Passed at the regular meeting of the City Council held October 7, 1975, and that this or- dinancebecome and be in full force and effect October 8, 1975.
