An ordinance amending section 17-442 of the alameda municipal code relating to mechanical traffic signals emergency ordinance
(55) Intersection of Otis Drive and
willow Street.
Section 2, This ordinance is one of
great necessity and urgency within the
meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City
Charter, is introduced and passed at the
some Council meeting and shall
become effective on November 5, 1975.
Section 3. The facts constituting the
necessity and urgency hereof are:
1. That traffic regulations are es-
sential for the orderly flow•and con-
trol of traffic within the City.
2. That such regulations should
necessarily be immediately effec-
tive on passage to insure that
maximum preservation of public
welfare is obtained.
3. That a potential health and
safety Problem will exist if such
amendment is not immediately ef-
fective.
4 That, in light of such potential
health and safety problems in-
volved, the normal delay between
enactment of this ordinance and its
effective date would be injurious.
5. This Council hereby finds, de-
termines and declares that it is in the
best interest and necessity that this
ordinance be introduced and passed
at the regular meeting of the City
Council held November 4, 1975, and
that this ordinance become and be in
full force and effect November 5 -1
1975.
