AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Section 17 -342 (Two -Hour Parking Limit) of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsections
(19) and (33) thereof to read as follows:
(19) Lincoln Avenue on the northerly side thereof
between the easterly line of St. Charles Street and a
point 137 feet east of the easterly line of Sherman
Street, and on the southerly side of Lincoln Avenue
between a point 25 feet easterly of the easterly line
of St. Charles Street and a point 124 feet east of the
easterly line of Sherman Street.
(33) Clement Avenue on the northerly side thereof,
between the westerly line of Park Street and a point 175
feet westerly therefrom.
Section 2 . Section 17 -241 (Left -Turns Restricted) of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection
(11) thereto to read as follows:
(11) From Webster Street in a northerly direction
onto Buena Vista Avenue, between the hours of 3:00 p.m.
and 6:30 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted.
Section 3 . Section 17 -344.1 (24- Minute Parking Limit) of
the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection
(19) thereto to read as follows:
`(19) Lincoln Avenue (St. Charles Street to Bay
Street), commencing at a point in the
(a) South curb line of Lincoln Avenue, five feet
easterly of the east line of St, Charles
Street and running thence easterly 20 feet.

Section-A Sec. 17 -432 (Stop Intersections) of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsection
(73) thereof to read as follows:
(73) Alameda Avenue and Walnut Street - A sign
shall be erected on Alameda Avenue at or near the south-
westerly corner of its intersection with Walnut Street.
Section 5. This ordinance is one of great necessity and
urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter,
is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall
become effective on August 18, 1976.
Sect on 6. The facts constituting the necessity and
urgency hereof are:
1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly
flow and control of traffic within the City.
2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately
effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public
welfare is obtained.
3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist
if such amendments are not immediately effective.
4. That, in light of such potential health and safety
problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this
ordinance and its effective date would be injurious.
5. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares
that it is in the best interest and necessity that this ordinance
be introduced and passed at the regular meeting of the City
