Ordinance 1841CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1841 New Series AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATI0NS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 . Section 17 -241 (Left Turns Restricted) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsection (1) thereof to read as follows: (1) Santa Clara Avenue and Park Street between the hours of 3:30 o'clock p.m. and 6:00 o'clock p.m. on all other days of each week except Saturday, Sunday and holi- days, provided however that the restriction of this subsection shall not apply to buses. Section 2 . Section 17 -342.1 (Two -Hour Limit) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsection (1) thereof to read as follows: (1) Clinton Avenue, on the northerly side thereof, between the westerly line of Wallow Street and a point 277 feet westerly therefrom; and on the southerly side of Clinton Avenue between a point 70 feet westerly of the westerly line of Willow Street and a point 197.5 feet westerly therefrom. Section 3 . Section 17 -432 (stop Intersections) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (213) thereto to read as follows: -1- (213) Minturn Street and Pacific Avenue, signs shall be erected on Minturn Street at or near the northwesterly and southeasterly corners of its intersection with Pacific Avenue. section 4 . This ordinance is one of great necessity and urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter, is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall become effective on Section 5 . The facts constituting the necess and urgency hereof are: 1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly flow and control of traffic within the City. 2. That such regulations,should necessarily be immediately effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public welfare is obtained. 3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist if such amendments are not immediately effective. 4. That, in light of such potential health and safety problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this ordinance and its effective date would be injurious. 5.
