AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 17 -333 AND 17 -432 THEREOF RELATING TO
TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Section 17 -333 (All Time and Limited No Parking)
of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsec-
tion (78) thereto, to read as follows:
(78) Fernside Blvd. on the easterly side thereof,
between the southerly line of Encinal Avenue and the
southerly line of Washington Street extended.
Section 2 . Section 17 -432 (Stop Intersections) of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsection
(148) thereof, to read as follows:
(148) Pearl Street and Tilden -Way, a sign shall be
erected on Pearl Street at or near the southeasterly
corner of its intersection with Tilden Way.
Section 3 . Section 17 -432 (Stop Intersections) of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection
(214) thereto, to'read as follows:
(214) Fernside Blvd. and Encinal Avenue, a sign
shall be erected on Fernside Blvd, at or near the south-
easterly corner of its intersection with Encinal Avenue.
Section 4 . This ordinance is one of great necessity and
urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter,

is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall
become effective on March 16, 1977.
Section 5. The facts constituting the necessity and
urgency hereof are:
1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly
flow and control of traffic within the City.
2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately
effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public
welfare is obtained.
3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist
if such amendments are not immediately effective.
4. That, in light of such potential health and safety
problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this
ordinance and its effective date would be injurious.
5. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares
that it is in the best interest and necessity that this ordinance
be introduced and passed at the regular meeting of the City
Council held March 15, 1977, and that this ordinance become
and be in full force and effect March 16, 1977.
