AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING
SUBSECTION (20) TO SECTION 17 -344.1 THEREOF
RELATING TO PARKING REGULATIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Section 17- -344.1 (24- Minute .Parking Limit) of
the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection
(20) thereto, to read as follows:
(20) Central Avenue (Webster Street to Sixth
Street), commencing at a point in the
(a) North curb line of Central Avenue,
156 feet westerly of the west Line of Webster
Street and running thence westerly 23 feet.
Section 2 . This ordinance is one of great necessity and
urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter.,
is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall
become effective on August 17, 1977.
Section 3 . The facts constituting the necessity and
urgency hereof are:
1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly
flow and control of traffic within the City.
2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately
effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public
welfare is obtained.
3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist
if such amendment is not immediately effective.
4. That, in light of such potential health and safety
problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this
ordinance and its effective date would be injurious.
5. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares
that it is in the best interest and necessity that this ordinance
be introduced and passed at the regular meeting of the City

Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of August, 1977, by the
