AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 3 -1313 AND 3 -1318 OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 13,
TITLE III THEREOF, RELATING TO A TAX UPON
CONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL UNITS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 Title III, Chapter 13, Article 1, of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Sections
3 -1313 and 3 -1318 thereof, to read:
Sec. 3 -1313 Amounts Payable Every person
constructing any new dwelling unit in the City
shall pay a tax of Nine Hundred Dollars ($900.00)
for each such dwelling unit.
Sec. 3 -1318 Use of Tax Money All amounts of money
collected pursuant to Section 3 -1313 shall be deposited
in a Park, Recreation, Public Transit and Non Motorized
Transit Fund to be used solely for the following purposes:
(a) One -sixth (1/6) of the funds collected may be
used for providing or assisting in the provision
of public transit or non motorized transit forms
of transportation;
(b) All funds may be used for providing park and
recreation facilities, including real property,
within the City.

Section 2 This ordinance provides for and fixes the
rate of a tax levy and is a municipal revenue measure, and it
shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its final
passage.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of-January, 1978, by the following
vote, to wit;
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Sherratt and Tillman, (3).
NOES: Councilman Diament and President Corica, (2).
ABSENT: None.
