AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 2 -546 THEREOF RELATING TO MILITARY OR NAVAL
LEAVE OF ABSENCE OF CITY OFFICERS OR EMPLOYEES AND
COMPENSATION DURING SAID ABSENCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by amending Section 2 -546 thereof to read:
Sec. 2 -546 Any officer or employee of the City who
is granted a leave of absence for service in the military,
naval or marine service of the United States or of the State
of California, and who has beer, in the employ of the City
:or six months or more immediately preceding the date from
which such leave begins, shall be all Owed his regular
salary or compensation for a period of not more than one
(1) month in any calendar year or during any continuous
leave of ahsenre. The compensation payabla to such officer
or employee on leave, as provided in this section, whose reg-
ular compensation paid by the City is based on a per diem or
0 hourly basis, shall be an amount equal to the average monthly
a compensation received by such person during the six months

immediately prior to such leave of absence. The provisions

CL �3 Section 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect

from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of
its final passage.

in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of February, 1978 by the following

NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Tillman, (1).
