WITHIN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA BY AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1277, NEW SERIES

General Industrial District, with a Planned Development
Overlay on Singleton Avenue east of Main Street.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
as follows:
Section 1 . Section 11 -116 of Ordinance No. 1277, N.S.,
is hereby amended by reclassifying and rezoning from R -4,
Neighborhood Apartment District, to M -2 -PD, General Industrial
District, with a Planned Development Overlay on Singleton
Avenue east of Main Street, all the real property situate
within the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, as described in the attached legal description.
Section 2 . The above amendment shall be known as and
referred to as Reclassification and Rezoning Amendment No.
109 to Ordinance No. 1277, N.S.
c` Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days

Those parcels of land in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda,
State of California, described as follows:
PARCEL 1:
A portion of Tract 39 and 40, Map of Alameda Marsh Lands, filed
July 30, 1900, Map Book 25, pages 74, 76 and 78, Alameda County
Records, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of said Tract 39, at
the westerly terminus of course numbered 10 in the 3 acre
parcel described in the Deed to The United States of America, re-
corded August 10, 1966, Series No. AY/95418, Alameda County Re-
cords; thence along the westerly line of said Tract 39, north 0
33' 53" east 126.87 feet to the southerly terminus of the 955.366
foot radius curve in the southeasterly boundary of the parcel of
land described in the Deed to Central Pacific Railway Co., re-
corded January 7, 1911, Bdok 1855 of Deeds, page 168, Alameda
County Records; thence tangent to the preceding course northeasterly
on the arc of said curve to the right having said radius of 955.3
feet through a central angle of 11 37 47" an arc length of
193.92 feet to a point thereon; thence leaving said southeasterly
boundary on a nonradial course south 87° 11' 24 east 86.10 feet;
thence south 36 36' 54 east 55.90 feet; thence south 87 11'
24" east 120.00 feet; thence north 74° ill 06" east 40.00 feet;
thence south 87° 11' 24" east 32.00 feet; thence south 2 48' 36"
west 289.57 feet to said course numbered 10 in the boundary of
said 34.82 acre parcel; thence along said boundary north 87
11' 24" west 318.59 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 2:
Non - exclusive easements for an existing sanitary and storm sewer
pipeline in, over and across the following described parcel of
land:
Two strips of land, each 20 feet wide, situate in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, said strips of
land being a portion of Tract 39 and Tract 40 as said tracts are
shown on I4ap of Alameda Marsh Lands, filed July 30, 1900, Map'
Book 25, pages 74, 76 and 78, said two strips of land being de-
signated for the purpose of this description as Parcel A and
Parcel B, said strips of land lying 10 feet at right angles on
each side of the following described center line.

PARCEL A:
Beginning at a point in the northerly line of that certain 13.28
acre parcel of land described in the Deed from The Regents of the
University of California to the State of California dated February
14, 1955, Book 7567, page 117, Alameda County Records, distant
thereon easterly 319.92 feet from the intersection of the northerly
line of the aforesaid 13.28 acre parcel with the westerly line of
Tract 39, from said point of beginning; thence
(1) north 1 40' east 54.01 feet to a point of terminus.
The southerly terminus of said strip of land being a portion of
the northerly line of the aforesaid 13.28 acre parcel (7567 -OR -117)
and the northerly terminus being a line bearing north 87 11' -24"
west passing through the northerly terminus point.
Containing in said strip of land 0.025 acres, more or less.
PARCEL B:
For a point of reference commence at the intersection of the west-
erly line of Tract 39 and the northerly line of that certain 13.28
acre parcel of land described in the Deed from The Regents of the
University of California to the State of California dated February
14, 1955, Boot. 7567, page 117, Alameda County Records, from said
point; thence
(i) north 0 33' 53" east, (north 1 34' east, per Map of Alameda
Marsh Lands) along said westerly line of Tract 39, 54.0 feet
to a point therein; thence leaving said westerly line
(ii) South 87° 11' 24 east 448.32 feet to a point; thence
(iii) North 2 0 49' 42" east 289.61 feet to a point, said point
being a point in the direct extension westerly of the center-
line of the strip of land 20 feet wide which bears north 87
13' 26" west, said point being the actual point of beginning;
thence
(1) South 87° 13' 26" east 274.45 feet to a point; thence
(2) North 31 49' 55" east 583.14 feet to a point; thence
(3) South 88 03' 50 east 869.80 feet to a point of terminus in
the westerly line of that certain 18.193 acre parcel of land
recorded February 14, 1955s Book 7567, page 117, Alameda County
Records.
The westerly terminus of said strip of land being a line bearing
south 2 49' 42" west passing through the westerly terminus point
and that certain 18.193 acre parcel of land (7567 -OR -117).

Containing in said strip of land 0.793 acres, more or less, as
reserved in the Deed from L. A. Martino, et al., to the United
States of America recorded April 25, 1966, Series No. AY/52477,
Alameda County Records.
PARCEL 3:
A non- exclusive right of way over and across that portion of an
existing street known as Singleton Avenue, described as follows:
A strip of land, 54.04 feet wide, situate in the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State of California, said strip being a por-
tion of Tract 39 as said Tract is shown on the Map of Alameda
Marsh Lands, filed July 30, 1900, Map Book 25, pages 74, 76 and
78, said strip of land being described as follows: Beginning at
the northwesterly corner of that certain 13.28 acre tract of land
described in Deed from The Regents of the University of California
to the State of California, recorded February 14, 1955, Book 7567
OR, page.117, Alameda County Records; thence along the northerly
line of said 13.28 acre parcel,
(1) South 87° 11' 24" east (south 87 12 43" east per.7567 -OR -117)
448.39 feet, to a point; thence leaving said northerly line
of said 13.28 acre parcel
(2) North 2 29 42 east, 54.04 feet to a point; thence
(3) North 87° 11' 24" west, 448.32 feet to a point in the westerly
line of Tract 39 as shown on aforesaid Map of Alameda Marsh
Lands; thence along said westerly line
(4) South 0° 33` 53" west, 54.04 feet (south 1 34 east per Map
of Alameda Marsh Lands) to the point of beginning.
Containing in said strip of land 0.576 acres, more or less, as
reserved in the Deed from-L. A. Martino, et al., to the United
States of America recorded April 25, 1966, Series No. AY/52477,
Alameda County Records.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of April, 1979, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman, and
President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
