REPEALING SECTION 17 -3724 OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL
CODE WHICH ESTABLISHED TWO HOUR FREE PARKING IN A
PORTION OF PARKING LOT C (EMERGENCY)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Section 17 -3724 of Article 7, Chapter 3, Title
XVII of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
Section 2 . This ordinance is one of great necessity and
urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter,
is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall
become effective on April 2, 1980.
Section 3 . The facts constituting the necessity and
urgency hereof are:
1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly
flow and control of traffic within the City.
2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately
effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public
welfare is obtained.
3. That a potential safety problem may exist if such amend-
ment is not immediately effective.
4. That, in light of such potential safety problems in-
volved, the normal delay between enactment of this ordinance and
its effective date would be injurious.
5. This Council hereby finds, determiner and declares
that it is in the best interest and necessity th.it this ordinance

be introduced and passed at the regular meeting of the City
Council held April 1, 1980, and that this ordinance become
and be in full force and effect April 2, 1980.

of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of April, 1980,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and
President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
