AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS RELATING TO USE PERMITS FOR
OFF -SALE LIQUOR ESTABLISHMENTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Subsection (d) of Section 11 -1331 of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subdivision (8) thereto
to read:
Sec. 11 -1331 Uses Requiring Use Permits
(d) The following and similar retail business, or service
uses:
(8) Those portions of grocery stores devoted to the
sale of alcoholic beverages.
Section 2 . Subsection (b) of Section 11 -1334 of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by repealing subdivision (18)
thereof.
Section 3 . Section 11 -1335 of the Alameda Municipal Code
is hereby amended by amending Subsection (k) and adding Subsections
(1) and (m) thereto to read:
Sec. 11 -1335 Uses Requiring Use Permits.
(k) Liquor stores,
(1) Those portions of grocery stores devoted to the sale
of alcoholic beverages,
(m) Any uses permitted in C -1 and C -2 districts which are
not conducted within an enclosed structure.
Section 4 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding Section 11- 1223.5 thereto to read:

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of August, 1981,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT:Councilman Diament - 1.

Section 5 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from
