AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 10 -2318 THEREOF, RELATING TO FEES FOR
ELECTRICAL PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS (BUREAU OF
ELECTRICITY)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that:
Permanent service entrance (new or change):
First 100 amps., 230 volt or 25 KVA

In instances of changes, renewals or replacement
of said apparatus, where no change in wiring
is necessary, the fee for connecting up only

replacement of tubing, transformers and such
parts subject to failure; or for shop inspec-
tion in lieu of a U.L. label (a local inspection
department label of approval shall be required),

17. When extra inspections are made necessary
by reason of deficient or defective work, or
otherwise through the fault or error on the
part of the holder of the permit, or on the
part of his employee, after notice has been
given in writing by the electrical inspector
setting forththe violations, only one such
extra inspection shall be made under the regular
fee as herein prescribed; and for each and every
further extra visit of inspection for which the
holder of the permit or his employee is
entirely responsible, fees shall be charged as
follows:
First such inspection 3.00
Second such inspection 7.50
Each additional such inspection 15.00
The Inspection Department shall allow for correction
of such work a maximum period of ten working days
following date of inspection.
18. Fire repair work with no added outlets 10.00
19. Survey or advisory inspections on site prior
to issuance of permit 5.00
20. Fee for special annual permit to be as prescribed
in Section 10 -235 of this article.
Section 2 . Section 10 -237 of the Alameda Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 10 -237 Application for Special Owner's Permit Every
individual desiring to obtain any special permit under the provi-
sions of Section 10 -236 of this article shall first file an
application for registration, which application shall set forth the
location of the building where the work is proposed to be done, and
that the applicant is the owner of said building, and such other
information as may be required by the Electrical Department.
After approval of said application by the Superintendent of the
Electrical Department, and before issuance of any permit, the
applicant shall deposit with the Electrical Department the sum of
Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) in cash as a guaranty for the payment
of fees for permits and inspections and as a further guaranty that
all electrical work done under the authority of any permit issued
to the applicant will be done in compliance with all provisions of

this Chapter and of the rules and regulations hereunder established.
Said deposit shall be the minimum charge for the issuance of the
permit and for inspection fees and regular fees shall be charged
for items in excess of said deposit.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.
