AWARDING CONTRACT TO T. J. LYNCH CONSTRUCTION
FOR THE DEMOLITION AND REPLACEMENT OF ALAMEDA
MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE RESTROOMS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda, at its
meeting on December 19, 1989, adopted plans and specifications and
called for bids for the demolition and replacement of three
restrooms at the Alameda Golf Complex; and
WHEREAS, at the bid opening on January 16, 1990, three
proposals were submitted, and the low bid was that of T. J. Lynch
Construction of San Ramon in the amount of $156,544; and
WHEREAS, the contract allows for 70 consecutive working
days to complete the project, said project to begin in March and
work expected to be completed by the end of May, 1990; and
WHEREAS, funds for the project were approved in the 1989-
90 capital improvement budget in the amount of $162,000; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of staff that $172,198
be allocated from the golf course enterprise account to fund the
project, which includes a 10% contingency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of theT cp
City of Alameda awards the contract for the demolition andl,;(
replacement of three restrooms at the Golf Complex (No. P.W.
89-16) to T. J. Lynch Construction in the amount of $156,544 and
allocate $172,198 from the golf course enterprise account to fundz:z---6
the project, which includes a 10% contingency.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of
ppbrilry , 1990, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camiciaf Thomas, T4throw and
President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
