ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
IDENTIFIED AS P.W. 12- 91 -13,
CALLING FOR BIDS FOR FIRE STATION NO. 2
MODIFICATION AND SEISMIC UPGRADE
AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, at its June 8, 1991 meeting, the Community
Improvement Commission (CIC) approved the FY 1991 -92 budget
including a conditional allocation of funds to pay improvement
costs for renovation and upgrades to Fire Station No. 2; and
WHEREAS, in October, the Community Improvement Commission
passed Resolution 91 -57, approving the undertaking of certain
public improvements by the City on behalf of the Community
Improvement Commission. The CIC approved the undertaking by the ID
City for improvements to Fire Station No 2, and consented to the-
City entering contracts, as necessary, in order to carry out they? , a

WHEREAS, in Resolution 12163, the City Council approved
the undertaking by the City of the improvements based upon the • N
agreement by the CIC to reimburse the City for costs of the
improvements; and ry_

WHEREAS, Specifications and Plans have been prepared for
the building reconstruction project of the Fire Station No. 2 3
numbered P.W. 12 -91 -13 which will involve the modification of the
apparatus room and some seismic upgrade of the building and filed
in the office of the City Clerk on January 22, 1992.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said specifications be, and the same are, hereby
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 2 :00 o'clock
p.m. on February 14, 1992, for the building modification project
hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and
Plans. Bids must be presented to the City and plainly marked on
the outside, "Proposal for Fire Station No. 2 Modification and
Seismic Upgrade" or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the
provision of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible
bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved
to reject any of all bids.
Said Specifications may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall,
Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise in the
Alameda Times-Star a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance
with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications
and Plans.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of
January 1992, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and
President Withrow - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
