RESOLLTICN DECLARING 210SULT OF ELECTION.
aNXICC.0, a general municipal election was held in the dity of Alameda on
Tuesdg,,, Earoh 13th, 1923, under and pursuant to the provisions of Article XI of the
charter of sald. city, to fill the offioes of councilmen held respectively by Alfred
Latham and Ernest J. Probst, whose terms expire on April 1Gth, 1923,
AND 7156.75A4, nominating petitions were dilly filed. and presented to Vie city
clerk, in the) time, for and marm' r prescribed by sections 5 and 6 of said Article XI,
nominating said Alfred Latham and Ernest J. Probst for re-election to succeed themselves,
AND WEEPEAS, said nominations were entered in a list, with the offices to be
filled, which list was certified to in the time, form ancl manner required by section 8
of said article XI, whereupon an election proclamation, stating the time of the election,
the offices to be filled, and tha names of the candidates, siRned 1 the mayor and at-
tested. by thc city clerk, was Roly and regularly published more than ten days before
said election three times in. the Alamedh Times Star, thb official paper of said city,
AND NdXXXAd, all the ballots used for said. election were prepared and arranged
as to farm and contanto as provided in section 0 of said hrticle XI, a sample ballot be-
ing mailed to each registered voter on Earch. 2nd, 1923, being mero than ten days preced
ing soi election, together with copies of the premositions next herein stated,

AND WHERHAS, said ALFRED LATEW and ETHEBT J. PEOLMT each received a
majority of all voteu oast of all ohoicea for the office of councilmen, said
ALFRED LATHAM and
23 35 J. PROBST are hereby declared elected respectively,
as members of the oity council of the City of Alameda, to hold their respective
offices for a period of four years from and after eight o'cloeB B. m. of Monday,
the 16th day of April, 1223, and until their successors are elected and qualified.
Resolution No. 615.
AND WHEREAS, it is found. that a majority of all votes cast on Proposition
No. 1 aforestated were against the preposition to repeal said ordinance, therefore
said ordinance No. 227, N. S., relating to zoning has not been repealed, but remains
a valid ordinance of the City of Alameda, in full force and effect
AND WHEREAS, it is found that a majority of all votes cast on Proposition
1o, 2 aforestated were cast in favor of the proposition to amend section 4 of
ordinance, therefore caid Ordinance No. 22V, NU 6., relating to zoning has been
amended accordingly.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was lady

meeting assembled cn the 20th day of March, 1923, by the following veto, to wit:-
