PROPOSING TO CHANGE OR RECLASSIFY PROPERTY ON
THE COUNCIL'S OWN INITIATIVE.
WHENEAS, the owners of the Alameda Sanatorium, which is located on the
uthern side cf Clinton Avenne between Willow and Qhestnat dtreets, deoire to
constrnct a modern fire-proof sanatorium on the nroperty situated between the
present sanatorium and Willow Street, and. rave requested that the nroperty which
io hereinafter described be changed and reclassified. undar Ordinance No. 227, New
6erie, frum 0 Caasu 55, esidence District, to a Clues VI, Business ilistriot, now
therefore
IS HZHEBY RECOUVEI, and ordered. that the city clerk cause to be conapic-
ucusly posted along that portion of all the streets within. an area of three hundred
(300) feet outside the exterior boundaries of tha property hereinafter described, in
time, form and manner as provided in said ordinance, notices of the proposed reclass-
ification, said notices being in 77077:10 and figures as follows, to-wit:

Notice is hereby given that the city council, on its own
initiative, proposes to change and reclassify the property de-
scribed as follows:

line of Clinton Avenue with the westerly lire of Wil-
low Street as said Avenue and Street are delineated
and so designated on that certain map entitled "Man
of lands adjacent to the Town of Encino", Alameda
County, California, filed May 28th, 1887, in the Of-
fice of the 9ounty Recorder of Alameda County, Calif-
ornia, in Book 19, of Maps, Page 53", and running
thence westerly along tha southerly line (4' Clinton
Avenue 270 feet to a point; thence at right angles
southerly to the By shore of San Francisco Bay;
thence easterly along said Bay shore line to its
internection with the westerly line of Willow Street,
thence northerly along the westerly line of Willow
Street to the southerly lire of Clinton Avenue and
the point of commencement.
Being lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the easterly 20
feet, for its entire length of Lot 6, Sr. Block 76
of the above filed map,
from a Residence District, Class II, to a du:rine-as Listrict,
Class VI, in order that a sanatorium may be constructed and
maintained therein. Said proposition will dame up for hear-
ing before the city council in the city hall Tuesday evening,
April Srd, 1923, at 8 c'elook p. m.
