AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AI AGREFEENT
WITH THE EAST BAY TWEE COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCT-
ING A NEW WATER MAIN ON LINCOLN AVENUE. ALSO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLEFT TO ATTEST SAME.
WHEREAS, the council of the City•of Alameda did, on the 4th day of
September, 1923, authorize the mayor, for and in behalf of the City of Alameda,
to execute an agreement with the Bast Bay Water Company for the installation and
maintenance of a twenty inch water main on Pac ific Avenue, between Webster and Park
Streets, said city, in accordance with the terms and conditions incorporated in the
annexed agroement; also authorizing the eity clerk to attest the same.;
AND WHEREAS, it now appears that public interest demands that said water
main be constructed on Lincoln Avenue between said streets instead cf Pacific Avenue,
now therefore, it is hereby
RESOLVED by the council of the City of Alameda that the mayor te, and he
is hereby authorized for and on behalf of said city to enter into an agreement with
the East By Netter Company for the installation and maillteanc of a twenty inch
water main on Lincoln Avenue instead of Pacific Avenue, as heretofore authorized,
in .aocordance with the terms and conditions. inccrporcctea in the annexed agreement.
and the city clerk is hereby authorized to attest the same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in special
meeting adsembled on the 5th day of October, 1923, by the following vote, to wit:
AYE: Councilmen Latham, Probst and President Otis, (3).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilmen Adams and Tilden, (2).
