WHEREAS, the imperative necessity of securing ah adequate and satisfactory water
surely is the most important eroblem now confrchtinim theEact uay cities, and
WEBESAE, the Directors and Engineers of the Enst• Bay Mnnicipal Utility District
have recommended for the east lay cities the acquisition of a watcr supply from the Mb-,
kelumne River, and an election has been called for noaemter 4th next ti order to submit
to the electors of said district the proposition of incurring a bonded. debt therefor,
bow therefore it is :hereby
PES(BIAVA9 that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby indorsed the action
of the irectors and CnsTineers of the E.ast Bay Eunicipal Utility District in selectinR
the rokelumne liver as a source of vater supply end urges the electors of the city to
approve the !proposed bond issue for the construction of the project.
