Resolution 00893RESOLUTION NO. 593. RESOLUTION 00' INTENTION NO. 76, New Series. RESOLVED, that the publio interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Alameda to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, to-wit: That Eagle Avenue, in said city, te opened and extended to a uniform width of CO feet from its present easterly terminus 101 feet easterly from the eastern line of Webster Street to its present westerly terminus 119i feet more or less from the western line of Eighth Street. The land deemed necessary to be taken therefor is described as follows; Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Nagle Avenue distant thereon 101 ft. from the eastern line of Webster Street, thence easterly along the southern lire of Eagle Avenue produced 500 ft. more or less to the point of intersection of the southern line of Eagle Avenue and east- ern line of Southern Pacific Company's right of way, thence northerly along the eastern line of the Southern Pacific Company's right of way to the northern line of Eagle Avenue, thence westerly along the northern line of Eagle Avenue orodoued 492.25 ft. more or less to a point distant 101 ft. easterly from the eastern line of Webster Street, thence at a right angle southerly 60 ft. to the point of beginning, containing 0.572 acres of land. The exterior boundaries of the district of lands to be affected and benefited by se id work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the damages, cost and expanses thereof, are specifically described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 5 in Block. H as said lot and block ere delineated and so designated upon that certain mar entitled "Mop of Mastick Teark, City of Alameda, California", and filed in the of- fice of the County Recorder of Alameda County, March 13, 1907, in Book 22, of Maps, Page 56, and running thence westerly along the southerly line of said Lot 5, 119.5 ft., to a point; thence at right angles north- erly 46.5 ft., to a point which is distant southerly 100 ft., measured at right engles from the southerly line of Eagle Ave.; thence westerly and parallel with said southerly line of Eagle. Ave.; to a point dietant 101 ft., easterly measured at right angles from the easterly line of Webster St.; thence at right angles southerly 50 ft., to a point; thence at right angles westerly 306.ft., to a point; thence northerly and paral- lel with Webster St., to the northwest corner of lot 13, in Block D, of the Shepardson property; thence easterly along the northerly line of said Shepardson property to the northeast corner of Lot 13, in Block E, of said property; thence southerly and parallel with Webster St., to a point which is distant 100 ft., northerly measured at right angles from the northerly line of Eagle Ave.; thence easterly and parallel with said northerly line of Eagle Ave., to eipoint which is distant westerly 119.5 ft., measured at right angles from the westerly line of Eighth St.; thence northerly and parallel with Eighth St., 189.79 ft., to a point on the segregation line; thence S. 890 34' E., 312 ft., thereon to a point; thence southerly and parallel with Eighth St., 493.61 ft., to a point; thence at right angles westerly 192.5 ft., to the point of beginning. Ala of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in whole or in part, any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose", approved March 6th, 1869, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. The "Alameda Times Star" is hereby designated as the daily newspaper published and circulated in said city in which the Superintendent's notice of the passage of this resolution shall be published. I, the urderoigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adorted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of May, 1925, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Latham, Neiss, Noble and President Otis, (4).
