WHEREAD, a bond election has been called in the Oity of Oakland for the
construction of certain harbor improvtrante in tht San Antonio Eatuaryy
AND WEN6RWAS, it appears from the proposed plans for said. improvehtstay
that tht largest and. most prominent feature) thereof consists of a long wharf or
dock which, according. to a recent decision of the superior court, extends over a
thousand feet sexoss the boundary lina into the City of Alameds, now therefore te
it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City. of Alameda, that while said Dounoil
favors the expeous fragroNcreknt of the entire estaary, At respectfully submits
that the City of OeXland should not make any improvements extending into Aismeda
territory until the question. of the boundary. has been finally determined.
RESOLNED, that the Ccumcil of the City of Aiamada hereby affirms its
desire for friendly cooperation with the Oity of ()Deland in the work of hetbor
improvement, and makes this declamation for the uoie purpose of protecting the
City nf Alameda in the maantenahse of its legal rights reapecting its boundary.
