CANCELLING BOND ON THE GLOBE IN0) EMM1MY COMPANY.
7THERE0)S, the Council of the City of Alameda did, on the 25th day of March,
1913, enter into a contract with the Contra Costa Hog Compsny, a corporation, for the
sale and delivery of the garbage of said city for five years for the sum of 8156.00
per month,
AND WHEREAS, said contractor did, on the first day of June, 1923, furnish
e bond of the Globs Indemnity Company in the sum of Tlve Fhousand Dollars i85,000)
for the faithful performance of said contract,
0)2 WHEREAS, said contractor lost his hogs and was put out of business
through the hoof and mouth disease, in consequence of which he was unatle to carry
out his contract,
012 WHEREAS, the city thereupon made other arrangements and has a further
plan in contemplation which woull make it no longer desirable to continue said con-
tract, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council. of the City of Alameda that said contract shall
be deemed terminated and said bond of the %Globe indemnity Company be and the same
is hereby cancelled.
RESOLVED, that a certified cony of this resolutihn be sent to the Clobe
Indemnity Company and another cony to tie Contra Costa Hog Company.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular mestinF assembled on the lot day of December, 1925, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Latham, Reiss, Noble, Probst and. President 2tis, (5).
NOBS: None.
ABSENT: None.
