(Clay & Calhoun Streets).
RESOLVED, that it is the intention of .the Council of the City of Alameda
to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, to-wit:
That the following portions of Clay Street be graded, curbed, guttered, paved
and sidewalks constructed:
All of Clay Street between a line drawn parallel with and distant
176.56 ft,, easterly from the easterly line of Regent Street.
The northerly half of Clay Street between a line drawn parallel with
and distant 176.56 ft., easterly from the easterly line of Regent Street,
running. thence easterly 45 ft.
11 of Clay Street between a line drawn parallel with. and distant
221.56 ft., easterly from the easterly line of Regent Street, running
thence easterly 45 ft.
ALSO,
That the following portions of Calhoun Street be graded, curbed, guttered,
paved and sidewalks constructed:
All of Calhoun Street between a line drawn parallel with and
distant 131.58 ft., easterly from the easterly line of Regent Street.
The northerly half of Calhoun Street between a line drawn parallel
with and distant 131.58 ft., easterly from the easterly line of Regent
Street, running thence easterly 65 ft.
All of said work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications
adopted therefor and now on file in the office of the city clerk.
NOTICE IS HEREBY COEN that on Tuesday the 16th day of February, 1926, at
8 o'clock p. m., at the city hall, it the Council Chamber of said city, any and all
owners of property liable to te assessed for the work, who make written protests
against the proposed work. and deliver said. protests in writing to the clerk of the
council, may appear before said council and show cause why said proposed improvement
should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
The city clerk shall cause this resolution of intention to be published
twice in the "Alameda Times-Star", a daily newspaper of general. circulation published
and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by said city council.
The street superintendent shall cause to be oonspicuiusly posted along the
line of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of all the property liable
to be assessei, notices of the passage of this XE50111LiON of intention in the time, farm
and manner required by law.
The herein proposed work and improvement shall be done in pure-canoe of an act
of the Legislature of the State of California Entitled the "Improvement Sot of 1911",
approved April 13, 1911, and amendments thereto.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regalarly introduced and adopted by the council of the city of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 19th lay of January, 1925, by the following vote, to wit:
