CANCEILINXI TAXES ON OrlOPERIOT OP WENERANSX WELEADE BOARD.
WREREAS, the Veterans° Welfare Board did, on the 7th day of December,1925,
acquire the property in the City of Alameda particularly described as followa, to-alt;
Beginning at a point on the western line of Versailles Avenue,
as defined in the deed from 2Iary B. Alexander to City of Alameda,
dated January 5, 1923 and recorded in Liber 550, et page 220,
Official Records of Alameda County, distant thereon 400 feet north-
erly from the point of intersection thereof with the northern line
of Buena Vista Avenue; rahniina thence northerly along said line of
Versailles Avenue 40 feet,: thence westerly parallel with said line
of Buena Vista Avenue 140 feet; thence southerly parallel with
said line of Versailles Avenue 40 feet; and thence easterly paral-
lel with said line of Buena Vista Avenue, 140:- feet to the point
of beginning,
AHD WHEREAS, the property of the Veterans° Welfare Board of the State of
California is exempt from taxation, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the second installment of taxes due on said property for
the fiscal year 1926-27 be and the same is hereby cancelled, ar4 the assessor and
tax collector are hereby directed to mace the necessary changes on their reapective
books.
the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 19th day of April, 1927, by the following vote, to-wit;
AYES: Councilmen Calcutt, Latham, reiss, Noble and President Otis, (5).
