RESOLUTION HONORING EX-SERVICE V3TERANS.
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that, when
the death of an ex-service man or woman is learned, who went from the City of
Alameda into the service of the Army, Navy or Marine Corps of the United States
to take part in the Civil, Spanish-American or Arid War, or who being a resident
of the City of Alameda so went, the f]& of the united states shall be floated
et half mast at the City Hall in the City of Alameda as an evidence of the deep
respect of the pity to the decendent; that, if the funeral of decedent be held
in the City of Alameda, the City Manager be and ia directed to send two represen-
tatives of the city government to be present; and that the city, through its
mayor, send to the family of the decedent a letter expressing the city,s regret
and sorrow at the demise of one of its honored suns or daughters.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting Resembled on the 5th day of
ebruary, 1929, by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Calcutt, Latham, Noiss, Noble and
President Otis, (5).
NOES: None.
