REQUESTING TITLE INSURANCE COD:PANE TO PAY
$3,466.20 TO THE CITY 013 ACCOUNT 0? SALE
07 LAND.
WHEREAS, the Alameda County Title Insurance Company lo holding a
check in the sum of A.Ve Thousand Rollore (5,000) deposited by The Regents
of the University of California with instructions to pay the proceeds to
the city of Alameda on receipt of a properly executed deed conveying to
the regents two (2) certain pieoes of property in said olt,y,
AND WHEREAS, the coneummation of the sale of said two'(2) pieces
of property has been delayed because of certain encumbrances on one (1)
of said pieces cf land, to-wit: an eighty (90) foot strip located on the
easterly side of webster Street,
AND MaREAS, said it is able to give a clear title to one (1)
of aaid parcels, to-wit: Tract 43 of the Alameda marshlands containing
5.75 acres looted east of Main Street in said cit.Y,
AND fgHEREB, The Regents of the University of California have
instracted the title company holding said eheck and the escrew order to
eay the City of Alameda therefrom the sum of Three Thousand Tour Hundred
Eighty-31x and 20/100 Dollars (3,496.20) upon delivery of a properly
executed deed to .said Tract 43, and hold the balance of said sum, to-wit,
one Thoueand Five Hundred Thirteen and 90/100 Dollars (1,513.60) in the
escrow account pending future delivery of a satisfactory title to the
eighty. (430) foot strip on Arelster street aforesaid,
AND 7JIEREAS, the sele of said property has been duly and regularly
authorized pureuamt to en agreement entered into between The Regents of
the University of California and the City of Alameda under date of August
6, 1928, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda that the mayor be
and he is hereby authorized to execute a deed to The Regents of the Univeroity
of California and deposit the same with the Alameda County Title Insurance
Company with instructions to deliver said deed to the regents upon receipt
of Three Thousand our Hundred Eighty-six and 20/100 Dollars (3,465.20) to
be paid to said Oity of Alamedo.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council. of the pity of Alameda
in.reguier meeting assembled on the lgth day of march, 1822, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Calcutt, Latham, Neiss, Noble and President
otis, (5).
NOES: None.
