RESOLUTION NO. 1413
RESOLUTION
FOR ThE ISSUANCE OF BONDS
WHEREAS, on Abruary 19, 1929, this City Council adopted its
Resolution cf Intention to order oertain work to be done and improvements
to be made in the above-entitled matter, under and pursuant o the provisions
of the Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925, reference being hereby ex-
preasly made to said Resolution of Intention for further particulars, and
NHEREAS, said work has been done, and declaration of completion
filed and e. nearing held thereon after notice, all in aeaerdance with the
provisions of sections 23 and 24 of said act; and said work,heving been
accepted by this council, now therefore, it is hereby
RESOLVED AND ORDERED that upon the expiration of twenty days from
the date of said final order of acceptance, the clerk of this Council shall
transmit to the treasurer an attested copy of said final order, upon the
receipt of which the treasurer shall proceed to issue bonds in the amount
of SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED a'ORTY-TWO AND 13/100 DOLLARS ($64,342.13),
being the principal sum for which bends are to be issued as the same is stated
in said final order accepting the work. Said 'Londe shall be dated August 2C,
1929, being the date when said final order was made, and their denomination
and respective times of payment shall be as followa:
Sixty (60) bonds of $1000 each, payable three bonds each year in
numerical order commencing with the lowest numbere, the first threeeto be paid
on August 20, 1930, and three more of the next higher numbers on the same day
of each and every year thereafter until August 20, 1949, both dates iuolueive;
end until all of said bonds shall have been paid.
Also, twenty (2C) bonds of $200 each, payable one bond each year in
numerical order oommencing with the lowest number, the first one to be paid
on August 20, 1930, and one more of the net higher number an the same day of
each and every year thereafter until August 20, 1049, both dates inoluaive,
and until ell of said bonds shall have been raid.
Also, one bond of $342.13 payable Augus t 20, 1949.
Said bonds shall be substantially in the followiug form, to wit:

Anquisition and Improvement District No. One of the City of
Alameda, State of California.
Bond No. ..... Series A.
Under and by virtue of an act of the Legislature of the State of
Califoreia, known as the "Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925,
thm City of Alameda, State of California, will pay to the bearer,
out of the fund hereinafter designated, at the office of the treasurer
of said city, on the 20th day of August, 19 ...., the sum of..........
...........dollars in gold coin of the United States of America, with
intereet thereon in like gold coin at the rate of six (6) per cent
per annum, payable semiannually on the second day of January and the
second day of July in each year from the date hereof (except that the
first interest payment will be made on the second day of Janusz/ next
succeeding one year after the date of this bond and the last inetallmentef inter-
eat payment will be paid at the maturity of this bond) upon the present-
ation and surrender, as they respectively become due, of the proper
interest oupons hereto attached., the first of which is for interest
from the date hereof to the aecond day of January next succeeding
one year after the date of this bond, and the last for interest to
the maturity hereof from the last preceding date of interest payment.
Thie bond ie issued under and/conformity with the provisions
of the ebove mentioned "Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925"
and i5 one of a aeries of bonds to be issued to represent the
expenses of certain publie improvements authorized by the pro-
visions of said act and oomprehended in the proceedings had for
the above named dietrict. It is hereby certified, recited and
declared that all proceedings, acts and things required by law
precedent to or in the issuance of thin bond have been regularly
had, done and performed, and this bond is by law made conclusive
evidence thereof.
This bond is payable out of the "Acquisition and Improvement
Distriot No. I of the City of Alameda interest and sinking fund"
exclusively, as the said fund eppears upon the books of the
treasurer of said city and neither said city nor any officer there-
of shall be holden for it payment otherwiee; but in accordance
with the provisions of said aot a speoial assessment tax will be
levied and collected upon the lands in said district in an amount
clearly sufficient to pay the principal and interest of said bonds
ae the same shall become payable.
In witness whereof the city council of the said city has
caesed this bond to be signed by the treasurer of said city and
the seal of the city council of said city to be affixed this 20th
day of August, 1929.

The interest payments on said bond shell be payable January 2nd and
July and of each year, except that the first interest payment shall be made on
January and, 1931, and the last interest payment at the maturity of said bonds.
Said interest coupons hall be signed by said treasurer, by his
written or engraved facsimile signature.
It is hereby ordered. that a oertified oopy of this resolution be
transmitted to the city treasurer of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted. by the Council cf the City of Alamed
in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd. day of September, 1929, by the following
vote, to-wit:
