WHEREAS, under and by virtue of Chanter 767 of the Statutes. of
1033, the Department of Public. Works of the Etae of California is
authorized to expend annually- from the 3tate Highway fund an unount
equal to one quarter of one cent Per gallon tax on motor vehicle ruel,
after tha proportionate roymenta therefrom into the "Fuel tax enforce-
ment fund" and after tha proportionate refunds shall have been made,
within the incorporate cities and freeholder charter cities, and. any
city and county in the State of California, for ths purposes specified
in said chapter, and in the manner provided by law; and,
3.. 2), in accordance with the arovisions of said Chapter 767,
and in accordance'with the provisions of Sections 363r and 363y of the
Political Code (Chapter 32.6 of the Statutes of 1933), the Department
ef Public Works, acting by and through the California Highway Commiss-
ion, has designated as 1) State highway the following described streets
in the
Clidi OF ALAI:ADA, Alameda County,
Route 69, Within. Alameda. 6.13 riles
Beginning at the easterly city
limits (bohndary between 301 1, and
Alameda) on Maitland Drive, thence north-
westerly and northerly over Naitland
Drive to 'Jan Jose Avenue, thence north-
westerly over San Jose Avenue to High;
3treet, thence northeasterly over High
Street te ihAmte Clara veirici, thence 7e2t-
el'ly over Janta Clara Avenue to Webster
treet, thencia northerly over Webster
Street to tha southerly portal of the
osey Tube, a distance of 6.13 miles,

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the California Hi,11 onmission have heiniested the City of Alameda to appreve the routing

city streets, or portions thereof, as may not be included in the State
highway, when the easo la laid adopted, and constructed, therefore
FE IT RESOD:GED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, acting on
behalf of said city, that said city approve, and it does bereby approve,
the routine of said State Highway; that uTon the relinquishmsnt of said
strests, or any' portion thereof, to the City of Alameda 11 n. the manner
provided he .law, said city agree, and does hereby agree, to resume
jurisdiction over said streets, or pmrtion thereof, so relingnished.
