DECLARING NECESSITY AND AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN PUBLIC INTROVETTUTS.
WHEREAS, public necessity requires that a storm sewer, of sufficient size
to carry the drainage waters of Webster Street in the City of Alameda, be
constructed on the West side of Webster Street between Tynan Avenue aid the
North side sewer; and,
WHEREAS, said improvement has been approved by the Alameda County Emergency
Relief Conmittee as a project for which labor will be furnished under the Civil
Works Act; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that a storm sewer be
constructed by the City of Alameda on the West side of Webster Street between
Tynan Avenue and the North side sever as a Civil Works Act project.
BE IT FIRTH:ER RESCLVED that the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
(2,500), transferred as a dividend from the Electric Light fund to the General
Fund by Resolution No. 1816, be, and the same is hereby, set aside and approp-
riated for the construction of said storm. sewer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk advertise for bids for materials
needed in the construction of said storm sewer, in accordance with specifications
therefor prepared by the City Engineer.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regnlar meeting assembled on the 16th day of January, 1934, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen hruzzone, Eschen, Morris and President 1u.rray (4).
NOE'S: None, ABSENT: None.
