Resolution 01825RESOLUTION NO. 1825. AUTHORIZING T CITY MANAGER TO IN APPLICATIONS ON BEHALF CE THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR C. W. A. PROJECTS AND DEGIGNATING TEE CITY ENGINEER TO ACT AC SUPERVISOR AND C014TACT MAN DURING' Ti E CONCTRU2T1ON AND COMPLETION OF SAID PROJECTS. WHEREAS, the Director of the Civil Works Adninistration under the Civil Works AMtheretofore passed by the Congress of the United States has requested that all governing bodies applying for or mpansoring C. W. A. projects designate, by resolution, some person who shall have authority to sign applications foT C. W. A. projects on behalf of such governing body, and designate a certain person with the authority to supervise such projects and to act as "contact" man between such govern- ing body and the Civil Works Administration; now, therefore, BE IT RZSOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the City Manager, Ralph M. Eryant, be, and he is hereby designated as the person who shall sign all applications submitted to said Civil Works Administration on behalf of the City of Alameda for projects under the Civil Works Act.; that said City Manager s.1111 have the power to draw up such applications in such form and containing such details as nay be required by the nature of such project and by said Civil Works Administration, and that he be, and is hereby authorized and empowered to make all requests for moneys, to be advanced by said Civil Works, Adndnistratibn to meet the costs of any such projects. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer, George Sperbeck, be, and he is hereby appointed and designated to act as "Supervisor" and to officially super- vise, on behalf of the City of Alameda, any and all C. 0. A. projects, now or hereafter sponsored by said City, during construction and until the same shall be completed. BE IT :TURTPER RESOLVED that said lit En gineer is hereby appointed as "Centact" nan between the City' of Alameda and the Civil Works Administration and is hereby authorized and empowered to represent said City in all matters mutually affecting C. J. A projects now in the course of construction or which may hereafter be undertaken or constructed under said Civil Works not in said City, and to take such action in regard thereto as he nay deem proper. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the 'Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of March, 1934, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Souncilmen Bruzzone, Eschen, Morris, Tiedemann, and President Murray (5) NOES: None, ABSENT: None, TE5TIMOEY WEERZOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 7th day of March, 1934.
