NEEREAS, the City of Alameda is enrolled in the. 1934 National Traffic
Safety Content of the National Safety Council, and whsreas automobile
accidents have incTeaned to alermEnw proportions during thn past six months,

Whereas six deaths and seventy-seven personal injuries have result-
ed from accidents in our city so <"33 this year, and
