AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH
SMITH LUMBER COMPANY, A CORPORATION.
WHEREAS Sniith Lumber Company has offered to convey to the City of
Alameda for street purposes, as a continuation or Roosevelt Drive and
Park Avenue in said city, certain parcels of land more particularly
described in a deed dated October 25, 1934, wherein Smith Lumber Company,
a corporation, is grantor and City of Alameda is grantee, and
WHEREAS the council is willing to accept said dedication provided
suitable arrangements be made to insure the construction and drastellation
of lighting standards and a street lighting system along said dedicated
portions, and
WHEREAS a form or contract, duly executed by said Smith Lumbar
Company, providing for a deposit of the sum of $1358.84 with the city,
and containing the terms and stipulations upon which. said deposit is
made, was presented to and filed at this meeting,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute the aforesaid
contract an behalf of the City of Alameda and as its act and deed,

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular Meeting assembled on the 7th day of November, 1934, by the
following vote, to wit
AYES: Councilmen Eschen, Morris, Tiedamann and President Murray, (4).
NOES Nene,
ABSENT: Councilman Bruzzone, (1).
