WHEREAS, the United States of A.merica, through its Department of Agriculture,
has requested from the City of Alameda the grant of an easement thirty (301 feet in
idth, extending easterly and westerly along and immediately adjacent to the
southern boundary of that fifteen (15) acre tract cf land deeded by the City to the
United States of America under date. of November 10, 1930, for the purpose of
constructing a bulkhead, dock and retaining wall;
Also an easement for a retaining wall, extending from the southeasterly corner
of the aforedescribed thirty (30) foot strip, and running easterly along a prolonga-
tion of the southerly line of said strip a distance of 76.22 feet, more or less,
to a point, thence north 83 deg. 7 min. East, 245 feet, more or less, to a point; and,
T0A9, public interest and convenience demand the granting of said ease-
ments.; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that said easements he, and
the same are hereby, granted to the United States of America in accordance with
said request, and Oat Inc Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the necessary deed trerefor on behalf of the City, and the City Clerk be,
and he is hereby, instructed to attest the same;
RESOLVED, that the cooperation of the Government be requested by the City of
Alameda in seeing that the spoil or dredged material from the south side of the said
bulkhead be deposited, if possible, on ore, or both, of the following doscribed par-
cels of property, Parcel No. One being in private ownership, whereas Parcel No.
Two is owned by the City.
Said parcels of property are respectively described as follows:

Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15,19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 55, 36 and a portion of 10,
as such lots are shown and no delineated upon that certain map entitled "Map
of Town of Pilance and Adjacent Lands", filed in the Recorder's Office, County
of Alameda, State of California, September 12, 1917, Book 5, Page 10.
FIRCEL NUMBSR TWO. (Publicly owned).
All of Lots 2 and 4, nd that portion of Lot b lying east of Maitland Drive
(County Road 1453) and those portions of 13, 14 and 15 lying north of the LQI/e3
Road. All in Section 19, Township 2 South, Range 5 West, Mt, Diablo Base and
Meridian, as said lots are delineated and oo designated upon that certain map
entitled "Sale Map No. 10, of Salt Marsh and Tide Lands" situate in the County
of Alameda, State of California, and filed June 9, 1033, in the office of the
County Recorder or Alameda County, California;
provided, further, that the owners of said Parcel No. One consent thereto;
