PERMITTING THE UNITED STATES NAVAL AUTHORITIES TO START
PRELIMINARY WORK ON THE NAV2,L AIR BASE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the request of Admiral Campbell, Mayor
Roebke and City Manager Fritz recently granted permission to the United
States Naval authorities to commence preliminary surveys and make sound-
ings on the site of the proposed naval air base, subjeot to approval of
the City Council; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that the action
of the Mayor and City Manager in granting permission to make preliminary
surveys and soundings on the tidelands recently voted to the Federal
Government by the people of Alameda be, and the same is hereby, ratified,
approved and confirmed, and the United States Naval Authorities are hero-
by expressly authorized to make such preliminary surveys and soundings.,
and to do such other work on said tidelands as may be necessary or desirable.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of February, 1936, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Munro End President Roebke.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Eschen and Morris.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
